Est. 2001THE CRAFT OF ALOES MEATS
A family butchery built on patience, craft, and respect for the animal. We source Grade A game meat and venison from across KwaZulu-Natal and bring it to your table, frozen fresh and cut with care.

OUR STORY
Aloes Meats began in 2001 as a small family butchery in Colenso, KwaZulu-Natal, with a simple belief: game meat and venison deserve the same care and craft as any prime cut of beef. What started as a single counter serving the local community has grown into a butchery trusted across the province, without ever losing the hands-on approach that built it.
Every animal that passes through our butchery is sourced from sustainably managed farms and reserves across KZN. Our butchers hand-cut every order, portioning and packing to the exact weights our customers need, then blast-freezing within hours to lock in freshness.
Today, more than two decades on, Aloes Meats still runs on the same principles: farm to table, Grade A quality, and a butchery you can trust with your family's table.
CONSERVATION & WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT
Responsible, regulated hunting plays a critical role in wildlife management across South Africa's game reserves. Population control keeps herds healthy, prevents overgrazing, and funds the conservation of land that would otherwise be lost to other forms of development.
By sourcing directly from these managed reserves, Aloes Meats supports a sustainable cycle — the reserves fund conservation through regulated culling, and that meat reaches your table instead of going to waste. It's a model that keeps KwaZulu-Natal's wild spaces wild.
